Job Description

LHH is actively seeking an Intelligence Analyst for one of our top FinTech clients! This will be a 100% remote long term contract opportunity with our client.

Contract Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a Contract Intelligence Analyst to join our Compliance Intelligence Program. This role supports critical financial crime intelligence operations across three core areas: 314(b) information-sharing requests, SAR supporting documentation fulfillment, and intelligence referral triage and intake .

As a Contract Intelligence Analyst, you will serve as a central triage and intake point for internal and external intelligence referrals, law enforcement requests, and other investigative leads. You will conduct open-source and internal research, identify potential exposure across the company's platforms, assess and document findings, and route qualified matters to the appropriate investigative teams.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment where accuracy, sound judgment, confidentiality, and timely execution are critical.

Responsibilities

Intelligence Triage & Intake
  • Serve as a central intake and triage point for internal and external intelligence referrals submitted through designated channels, including internal referral forms and shared inboxes.
  • Review internal referrals against established program criteria to determine acceptance or rejection, documenting the rationale for each triage decision.
  • Process referrals from law enforcement, child safety organizations, and other governmental and non-governmental agencies by logging, researching, and assessing incoming leads.
  • Conduct exposure and account-matching research across company product platforms using available identifiers, including names, dates of birth, SSNs, usernames/Cashtags, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and cryptocurrency wallet information.
  • Leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques and internal investigative tools to identify and document potential relationships between referred activity and customer accounts.
  • Assess and document triage outcomes, including assignment created, no exposure identified, exposure but covered, or exposure without relevant activity.
  • Create and route investigation cases for accepted referrals, applying appropriate tags related to patterns, origins, products, and other relevant attributes.
  • Assign referrals to the appropriate investigative queues based on established workflows and criteria.
  • Handle employee and contractor referrals with appropriate confidentiality, sensitivity, and restricted-queue routing.
  • Support post-SAR law enforcement outreach by collecting relevant SAR metadata and escalating requests to team leads for formal dissemination.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records across intake trackers, assignment logs, and other program reporting systems.
314(b) Request Processing
  • Receive, track, document, and triage 314(b) information-sharing requests from participating financial institutions.
  • Conduct open-source research and internal database reviews on individuals, entities, and other subjects identified in 314(b) requests.
  • Assess available information and prepare accurate, timely responses in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Maintain complete records and reporting related to 314(b) requests, including volumes, turnaround times, actions taken, and outcomes.
SAR Supporting Documentation Fulfillment
  • Monitor and respond to SAR supporting documentation requests received from law enforcement agencies.
  • Research and collect responsive documentation and information in accordance with established procedures.
  • Track each request through completion and coordinate follow-up with law enforcement when additional information or clarification is required.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure requests are handled in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or otherwise high-risk matters to the appropriate internal teams and leadership.
Qualifications

Required
  • 2+ years of experience in enhanced due diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, compliance/AML, financial crimes, or intelligence analysis within a financial institution, law enforcement agency, fintech, payments company, or similar environment.
  • Direct experience with intelligence triage, case intake, referral processing, or investigative operations in a financial crimes or compliance environment.
  • Experience processing 314(b) requests and/or fulfilling law enforcement documentation requests.
  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, financial crime risks, and typologies .
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct exposure checks and account matching across multiple platforms, systems, and data sources.
  • Experience conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and collection.
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage time-sensitive requests and competing priorities independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly when managing high volumes of requests, referrals, and investigative data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within structured workflows and clearly document decisions, findings, and supporting rationale.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree and relevant professional experience.
Preferred / Even Better
  • Experience using SQL and/or Snowflake for exposure analysis, account research, or investigative work.
  • Familiarity with blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis or TRM Labs .
  • Experience using TLOxp, LexisNexis , or similar investigative and public-record databases.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, CFCS, or CRCM .
  • Prior experience working with FinCEN's 314(b) information-sharing program .
  • Experience handling sensitive employee or contractor investigations with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
What You'll Bring

You are a detail-oriented investigator who can move efficiently from intake to assessment to disposition. You are comfortable working with incomplete or fragmented information, know how to leverage multiple data sources to develop a clear picture of activity, and can make sound decisions within established risk-based frameworks.

You also understand that strong intelligence operations depend on disciplined execution: accurate documentation, timely follow-through, thoughtful escalation, and consistent application of program standards. :::

If you're posting this on a job board, I can also make it completely employer-neutral by removing product-specific references (such as Cashtags) so the original company is harder to identify.
